Recently Adopted Dogs

Fred (#10-011)

My name is Fred and I am by far the cutest, most desirable dog you could ever want to adopt. I love people, other dogs, and children, especially when they play with me. My foster mom's 4 year old grandson is my favorite friend - I lick his feet and chase him when he has a toy or stick. I love to take walks and remind my MOM that it is time to go if she takes too long to get ready. I love to run, especially if I see a squirrel, rabbit or lightning bug to chase. I haven't caught a squirrel yet, almost got me a rabbit, but those bugs taste terrible!! I know my commands (sit, stay, lay down, wait, move over) and can be taken off leash and won't wander off. I love to ride in the car. I've learned not to be a counter-surfer (though I don't know why I can't have all that good stuff that gets put there) and enjoy my nightly Milk-Bone as my after-dinner treat. I promise I'll be the best friend you could ever want - please consider making your home my forever home.

Nala (#10-037)

Nala is a wonderful girl who is 3 years old. She loves to ride in the car and is good on a leash. She is good with kids. She interacted well with the cats. She is sweet natured and loves to play. She is energetic and runs around the yard. One of her favorite things is the fenced in yard so she can run freely. She enjoys walks on lead, exploring anything she can. Check back for updates on this beautiful girl.

Max (#10-029)

This AKC 1 year old boy is a typical sweet, loving lab. He enjoys retrieving his tennis ball and getting belly rubs. Max is cratetrained, good with dogs, but cats unknown. He is a big boy, and can knock down smaller children just due to his size, though he has lived with a 4 year old. Being only a year old, Max enjoys his chew toys, and walks on lead.

Lucy (#10-024)

Lucy wants a new home. She is 6 years old, and oh so sweet. Lucy is good with children, and dogs. We do not know about cats. She comes to us with heartworm, so she will be treated for that immediately. She enjoys walks, and does quite well on lead. Car rides are always a fun thing for her. She will hop right in and gladly go wherever you go.

Tessie (#09-028)

Coming to us at the young age of 10 years, Miss Tessie is smiling on the world. She rides great in the car, and stands at the door waiting for another excursion. This sweetheart walks well on lead, is up to date on shots, spayed, and ready for her new home. Tessie gets along well with other dogs, and her foster sister insists on cleaning her face for her! She doesn't mind a bit. At 65 lbs, she is a smaller lab, but her love is not. She will stay close to you the minute you decide rubbing her is the thing to do. Although she is ten years old, she is fit and healthy. Tessie just wants her forever home to love her, care for her, and give her a comfy bed to lie on. Move your mouse over her picture to see more.

Trevor (#10-028)

This little yellow boy comes to us at the age of 4 months. He enjoys being around people, and recently attended a party where he was the center of attention and handled it well. Trevor enjoys playing with his foster brother and sister, and continues learning from them. He is a smart boy having learned to "ring the bell" to go outside. So far he has been accident free in the house. Trevor uses his crate willingly, and is learning to walk politely on a leash.

Zeppelin (#10-032)

A 2 year old 90 pounder has knocked on our door. He is a happy boy who loves to have his ears rubbed. Zeppelin likes to swim and retrieve. Being a big boy, he seems afraid of little dogs and goes the other way. A home with older children would be appropriate.

Penny (#10-021)

Penny is an energetic 2 year old chocolate spayed female. She is good with cats and dogs, and best for older children due to her energy level. She has tested positive for Lymes disease, which Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond is treating her for. This sweet girl enjoys going for walks and playing tug of war. When in the home she wants to carry things in her mouth like socks, dish towels, slippers, stuffed toys, etc. This chocolate body of hers wiggles ALL DAY LONG. She weighs in at 68lbs.

Bailey (#10-023)

Bailey is a 10 month old typical lab puppy. She is learning her manners on leash, though not so great yet. This energy filled lab needs alot of exercise, and some training. As with any puppy, she needs some guidance on how the world around her works. She knows sit, stay, and down. Bailey enjoys playing with other dogs, though she hasn't figured out when it's time to stop. Her foster sister is teaching her this lesson right now. She rides well in the car, loves being rubbed, is cratetrained, and up to date on all her vaccines.
